They
reportedly stormed the institution as early as 7am and sealed the Senate
building, the administrative block and the bursary department. The report said
the main gate along ‘road seven’ was also shut. The official who led the revenue
team, Oladipo Babatunde, as confirming the closure of the institution and
threatening not to re-open it until the institution pays its tax. Accordingly some
hostels in the school have been taken over by bedbugs, leaving most of their
mattresses infected. An undergraduate of the school identified as Michael Kalis
saying they had to leave their
mattresses outside, hoping the infestation will reduce. Oluwatobi also
suggested a total fumigation of their hostels, as that would help take care of
the bugs permanently.
