A Boko Haram suicide bomber, who tried to make entry into the University through the works department on Sunday was shot dead by troops stattioned in the school.
Mr. Tanko Ahmed, the public relations officer of the school confirmed the incident to the newsmen.
As related to the newsmen by Mr. Ahmed, the suicide bomber had already enterd the school through the Univercity back gate around the hours of 11pm, before being guuned down by a vigilant soldier.
He said the works department where the incident occured has been sealed off by the security agents to ensure the area is safe.
Recall that the University has been attacked lately by the terrorist group, one of which was at the mosque in the school.
